Nancy DimockNancy Dimock, oboist, regularly performs throughout the northeast as a member of the Vermont Symphony, Albany Symphony, Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra of Boston and as a guest with the Boston Lyric Opera, Portland Symphony, Rhode Island Philharmonic and the Boston Pops. She has been the principal oboist of the Honolulu Symphony Orchestra and can be heard performing with the HSO on the Grammy-nominated compact disc Rosemary Clooney: The Final Concert. In addition, Dimock performs with the Chameleon Arts Ensemble, the Auros Group for New Music and the Glimmerglass Opera Orchestra, with which she appeared on the PBS production Great Performances. Recent concerts have included a 10-city tour of the Bach Concerto for Oboe and Violin with renowned violinist Jaime Laredo, chamber music performances with the Jacques Thibaud Trio, WGBH live studio broadcasts and concerts with the Sun Valley Summer Symphony. She holds degrees from the Manhattan School of Music and the New England Conservatory, where her teachers included Joseph Robinson and Alfred Genovese. She has recorded for Concord and Albany Records.
