Peter Coutsouridis, DMAPercussion(860) 486-5049 Peter Coutsouridis received the bachelor of music degree in 1987 from the Hartt School of Music, where he studied percussion with Alexander Lepak. His musical studies continued at Central Washington University, where he earned the master of music degree while teaching percussion and working with the jazz bands as a graduate teaching assistant. At Central, he studied percussion with Andrew Spencer. In 1992 he received the doctor of musical arts degree from the Eastman School of Music, where he studied with John Beck and taught as a graduate assistant. Coutsouridis teaches percussion at the University of Connecticut and Westfield State College in Massachusetts. He and his wife Karin reside in Masachusetts. |
