Dave Douglas

Dave Douglas is arguably the most original trumpeter / composer of his generation. His influences include Igor Stravinsky, Stevie Wonder and John Coltrane. He has recorded more than 20 albums as a leader.
Douglas is a Sackler Artist in Residence. His performance and educational workshops at the University of Connecticut are funded through the Sackler Artist in Residence Program for the Advancement of the Arts.
Vienna Symphony Orchestra with the Eroica Trio

"The Vienna Symphony Orchestra is like Vienna's mountain spring water" – supplying a large city with the most important nutrient for the spirit, in a quality that is unique throughout the world. From Ferdinand Löwe to Fabio Luisi, famous conductors of the 20th and 21st century have been shaping the artistical growth of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra. Today, the orchestra can look back on an eventful history. Many compositions that are part of today's repertoire received their world premiere by the VSO.
