George Sanders is a graduate of the Crane School of Music, Potsdam, New York, and has a master's degree in music performance from the University of Illinois. He is currently assistant principal trombonist of the Hartford Symphony Orchestra and the Connecticut Opera Orchestra. Sanders is trombone instructor at the University of Connecticut and the Community School of the Arts and on the faculty of at the Hartt School Community Division. He has taught at the University of Lowell and Central Connecticut State University and was founding music department head of the Greater Hartford Academy of the Performing Arts. He is an active clinician and has been artist-in-residence in the Manchester, Glastonbury and South Windsor public schools.
