Gary Sienkiewicz is a native of Northampton, Massachusetts, and holds a master of music degree from Yale University. He is principal tubist with the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra, the Central Massachusetts Symphony, the Hartford Brass Ensemble, the New England Brass Guild, the Deerfield and the Berkshire Brass. He also plays with many orchestras throughout New England including the New Haven, Hartford and Springfield symphonies, the Rhode Island Philharmonic, the Vermont Symphony and the United States Coast Guard Band. His playing has been described as "impressive" by the Albany Times Union and "shining" by the New London Day. He has recorded three compact discs released by the Albany Symphony Orchestra. Sienkiewicz has been teaching at the University of Connecticut since 1990 and teaches at Deerfield Academy. He has also taught at Mount Holyoke College and the University of Massachusetts.
