Michele Holt has a distinguished record as a choral conductor and music educator. She is executive director of the Massachusetts Music Educators Association and a frequent clinician, adjudicator, and guest conductor at All State and District Festivals. She has been national president of the American Choral Directors Association and chaired its 2005 national convention in Los Angeles. She also serves as an executive board member of the Rhode Island Music Educators Association. For 23 years she conducted choruses at Stonington High School in Pawcatuck, Connecticut, and then served as choral director, assistant professor of music, and coordinator of the music education program at Providence College in Rhode Island.

Holt holds a doctor of musical arts degree in choral conducting from the Hartt School of Music as well as a master's degree in music education and a bachelor of music degree from the University of Rhode Island.
