Tabitha HeavnerWoodwind Techniques(860) 486-4793 Clarinetist Tabitha Heavner is a doctoral candidate in musicology at the University of Connecticut, where her dissertation focuses on music performed in New York during the Gilded Age. She received a bachelor of music degree in music education and clarinet performance from the University of Rhode Island and holds two master of music degrees from the University of Hartford's Hartt School, one in clarinet performance and the other in music history. In addition to teaching at the University of Connecticut, she has been an adjunct faculty member at Central Connecticut State University and the University of Hartford, teaching woodwind techniques, music appreciation and graduate seminars. For many years, she taught clarinet at the Hartt School Community Division and was active as a free-lance clarinetist in the Greater Hartford area. |
